Quilter’s Cottage SAL Weeks 6 and 7

We are so close to finishing this Quilter’s Cottage quilt top! These weeks are flying by so fast. I am still trying to settle in to the new school routine and attempting to decorate for fall. I think I have more fall decorations than Christmas decorations! Anybody else have this problem with fall decorations?! I was so excited to take out the fall quilts this week and my family has already started snuggling up with them at night.

Here are my blocks for weeks 6 and 7 of the Quilter’s Cottage Sew Along with Fat Quarter Shop. We have moved down to making the blocks for the clothesline, and I think I could make a whole quilt of Lori Holt’s clothesline quilts! In week 6 we made the Quilter’s Quarters Block. I figured the quilts hanging out to dry in front of the house don’t need to match the house, right? I had fun pulling in other colors from the Prim collection in this block! There were so many pinwheel blocks left over from this scrappy block that I have enough to make a matching pillow! I need to get on that ASAP!

This week we worked on the Cottage Star block and I love this block so much! I definitely plan to make this one again for other projects. These clothesline blocks finish at 19.5″ square and this one makes my quilt star loving heart so happy! Because the pieces are so big, it comes together so quickly.

My little girl loves to hold quilt blocks for me and she is doing such a great job! Here she is holding both blocks.

How is your Quilter’s Cottage block coming along? I feel like I was able to catch up with these blocks. They seemed to go quicker for me than the rest of the blocks so far. I hope you are doing well and enjoying some sewing or stitching time to yourself.
