Fat Quarter Shop Blog Remix 2: Sewing Machine Accessory Pouch

Hello and welcome to Blog Remix 2 and my version of the Sewing Machine Accessory Pouch! The Fat Quarter Shop is revisiting several previously released tutorials and adding new tips, tricks and FABRIC to those projects! I chose to make the Sewing Machine Accessory Pouch originally designed by Heidi Staples of Fabric Mutt in November of 2016.

Heidi designed this pouch with the intention of keeping her sewing machine accessories and even manual in one safe place. As this pouch was coming together, I felt as though it was the perfect place for me to keep a small hand sewing project!

I decided to use Strawberry Jam fabric designed by Corey Yoder for Moda fabrics for my pouch. I love the block that Heidi designed for the front of this pouch and I also love the colors Corey included in this Strawberry Jam collection! The pouch finishes up at 9 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ square with a super handy back pocket. Heidi intended this pocket to be for the sewing machine instruction manual, but it also works perfectly to keep a pattern inside.

By the way, this adorable cross stitch pattern is from Trellis and Thyme. They make the cutest little, whimsical cross stitch and felt patterns! You must check them out! (TrellisandThyme.com and @sosaecaetano on Instagram)
